Skyrim Hoarder: Riften Pollution

I began to get tired of the excitement from filling up my house with trash. But still amazed by Skyrim on how I can just leave the items on the floor and it would remember is location. I was exploring how well they did water currents carry items, in the lake of Riften one day. Then I thought, what if I could pollute this whole lake with trash.

As I did trash gathered up on shore over time, however everything that sank stayed in place. The currency are actually awful I realized some rivers currents will go one way and switch to the other way. Usually your items won't get carried down stream very far before runny against the shore all in the same place.

Sadly polluting your environment doesn't effect the fish population or even mutate them in anyway.

Click on the Images to enlarge them.

There is a slight current underwater also, but it doesn't carry the items as well because they are heavy.

This was only the beginning to polluting my entire Skyrim Universe.

Idol Parade

Early in the morning the past 2 days I have been woken up by the temple down the road parading their idols and shooting off fireworks. Wondering what all the noise was I looked out my balcony window almost having my face hit by the fireworks launching up from below (at least that's what it felt like).

Many mornings while here in Taiwan, I am awoken to the temples around the area playing strange music loudly and shooting off fireworks to worship their gods.

Friend Day - The End of the Term

SYME Family's mixed with students from other terms
The last day of the first SYME 2012 term is now over. I had an awesome time with the students. They came from many different stages in their life. We had a husband, wife, and their daughter attend together for one month, then the husband continued the second month as the daughter and wife had to go back to other things. One day in one of my classes we I spent the day just answering a bunch of question my students had about the Bible. We discussed many things. Instead of just telling them what I thought the right answers were, I tried to give the references in the Bible that they could then go look at and read for themselves. One girl was hearing voices in her head, after talking to here about it multiple times, she wrote me and one other teacher a note that she no longer hears them anymore. God is doing great things here. Please continue to pray for the ministry.

Friend Day is the Saturday after SYME is over. The students invite their friends and family to come to see how their English has improved, check out the school, and to hear the gospel.

Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern in Taiwan

Check out this video from the Travel Channel about Taiwanese food and culture. I have been many of the places he is showing and have eaten many of the foods but in my opinion he is being way to polite. The food he comes in contact with, isn't something you have to search hard for, I very easily come in contact with it everyday and have tried lots of it.

Zodiac - Mouse (aliah) Mountain

Little Temple along the path

We kinda missed a month out of our Zodiac mountain a month thing because of conflicting schedules but plan to hit two next time. We headed up to Mouse Mountain. It was a long drive up.  We stopped at a house for some help, the lady let us park our car in her driveway, she also excitedly showed us picture of a snow fall there some years back.

The top of the mountain is covered in tea farms. Lots of the tea that is drank everyday come from here.

(picture below) Not sure why, but back in the small town was a lot of idol worship happening today.

Dakeng, Taiwan Monkeys

Today we canceled the English classes and went for a hike in Dakeng. The stairs were horrendous trying to climb. The whole trail you were walking on small logs hoping you won't twist your ankle. I don't think there was one section of the climb where I could step on dirt.

The photo above is where most people decided to give up and turn around. Only 4 of us ended up going to the end. On the way back down we ran into a bunch of monks. On TV they seem all holy and spiritual, but its hard not to laugh when you see them do cute poses for a picture.

Towards the bottom of the hill we ran into a bunch of monkeys making there way across the path. I was able to get so close to them I could touch them if I wanted too. But chose not to out of lack of knowledge of what their reaction might be.
